The preseason friendly was tense, and Mullin was taken out after only 20 minutes due to a late challenge by United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop. After the game, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson told reporters he was “fuming” over the tackle.
Bishop tweeted Mullin after the game to express his “sincerest apologies.”

Paul Mullin’s injury
In the eleventh minute, Bishop challenged Mullin just outside the box as he attempted a header, and the two fell to the ground. Mullin was immediately in pain as he grasped his head with his right hand and his left hip with his left hand. He was down for around seven minutes. Mullin was surrounded by medical workers and a stretcher and cart were dispatched, but ultimately he got to his feet and slowly walked away while donning an oxygen mask with assistance.

Paul Mullin’s latest update amd return date
Mullin, however, is doing well and was already let go from the hospital. In San Diego, the striker was seen walking about and conversing with David Jones and Richard Hill.

Although Mullin’s comeback date is yet unknown, his coach Phil Parkinson said that Mullin is probably going to miss the beginning of the new campaign as Wrexham make their 15-year return to the Football League.
