George has played an integral role for the Clippers this season and his absence will likely make a negative impact on the team’s performances.
Paul George injury how it happened
To cut things short, Paul George exited the game with a sprained right knee, following which he did not return. George’s injury occurred late in game during around the end of the fourth quarter. While attempting to haul in a rebound, George collided with Thunder wing Luguentz Dort, after grabbing the ball.
Following the collision, George lied on the floor for some time before the team’s trainers eventually helped him back into the locker room. George finished the game with 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. But that was not enough as the Clippers narrowly lost out 101-100.
According to sources, George reportedly left the arena on the back of a cart with his right leg extended.
Paul George expected return date
The Clippers recently made an announcement yesterday, on March 22, that George will undergo a re-evaluation in 2-3 weeks. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, George will miss the rest of the regular season. He could however, make a return for the 2023 NBA postseason Playoffs.
