Despite Cummins briefly holding the record, Starc’s acquisition, which utilized over half of Kolkata Knight Riders’ auction budget, made him the highest-paid player in IPL history.

How Much Starc Will Earn in 2024 Season

With a sale price of ₹24.75 crore, Starc is set to earn approximately ₹7,36,607 for each delivery bowled in the 2024 season, assuming he bowls his allocated four overs in each league stage match.

If he participates in all 16 games, factoring in playoffs and finals, the value decreases to ₹6.44 lakh per delivery. This significant deal places Cummins in a position to earn ₹6.1 lakh for every ball bowled in the IPL 2024 games he plays.

In case SRH qualify for the playoffs and Cummins represents the team in every single game, Australian skipper will be paid 1,28,12,500 INR per match if he goes on to play 16 matches.

If SRH fail to qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs and finish their campaign with 14 games, he will be getting 1,46,42,857 INR for every single game given he plays all 14 matches.

Cummins boasts an IPL record of 42 games, 45 wickets, and an average of 30.16 with an economy of 8.54. He has represented both the Delhi Capitals and the Kolkata Knight Riders and holds the joint second-fastest fifty in IPL history, achieved in just 14 balls during IPL 2022 against the Mumbai Indians.

The IPL auction marked a historic moment with two Australian players fetching more than ₹20 crore for the first time. Starc, who commenced his international cricket career in 2010, faced early career setbacks due to persistent injuries.

However, he gained global recognition as a key member of the Australian squad that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup, earning the Player of the Tournament title for his consistent performances.

Additionally, he contributed to the team’s victory in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. In the 2019 Cricket World Cup, Starc set a record with 27 wickets, establishing himself as the all-time leading wicket-taker in a single edition of the tournament.

As of November this year, Starc ranks as the third-highest wicket-taker of all time in ICC Cricket World Cups
