Pat Cummins sustained a Hip injury against MI
Pat Cummins was ruled out of IPL 2022 because of the Hip injury that he sustained in KKR’s last game. The Australian captain was bought by KKR for 7.25 crore in the auction and it turned out to be a fair buy. Cummins scored the joint-fastest 50 of IPL this season against MI. The No.1 test bowler in the world was made to sit out on the bench after a string of losses in the tournament.

After the last game against MI, pat Cummins was diagnosed with a Hip injury which is expected to be a minor injury. In the upcoming tour of Australia against Sri Lanka Pat has been rested in the T20 series. The series will kick off at the beginning of June.
Pat Cummins will be available for the ODI series against Sri Lanka and for that he needs to be fit. Keeping in mind the recovery of the Australian captain he has decided to opt-out from the IPL 2022.
