A look at Paris-Roubaix Femmes 2023 history, teams, schedule, date and entry list
The first Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift race was shifted from the Women’s WorldTour programme for October 2020 to the spring of the following year due to the COVID-19 global epidemic.
On October 2, 2021, the women’s peloton finished in the famed Roubaix Velodrome after capturing the pavè of northern France for the third consecutive time.
Given that Paris-Roubaix has been an annual event since 1896 and is one of the most recognisable Spring Classics in the world, the UCI and ASO’s choice to add the race to the schedule was a significant one for women’s cycling.

Lizzie Deignan (Trek-Segafredo), the first winner of Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift, created history. To win and hoist the cobble trophy in the velodrome, she staged an attack from the peloton 82.5 kilometres from the finish line. She rode by herself across all 17 sectors of the muddy, dangerous cobblestones.
A teammate of Deignan’s, Elisa Longo Borghini, came in third, while Marianne Vos (Jumbo-Visma), who had been pursuing, came in second.
In 2022, Longo Borghini of Trek-Segafredo won the Paris-Roubaix Femmes while sporting the jersey of the Italian national champion. On the second time, the race began with 139 women, who finished the first four loops of Denain in bright sunshine.
Longo Borghini launched a lone attack on Templeuve’s ninth cobblestone sector with 34 miles left to go and prevailed. Lucinda Brand (Trek-Segafredo) took third place, followed by Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx) in second.
The third Paris-Roubaix Femmes with Zwift will cover 145.4 kilometres starting in Denain. Two separate loops towards the beginning of the course on windswept roads added another 20 or so kilometres or so to the total distance.
When the women get at the cobbled sector in Hornaing following the lengthy roll-out from Denain, they will merge onto the men’s course.
The final 85 km followed the same route as the men’s route and had 17 cobblestone sectors totaling 29.2 km in length, including Mons-en-Pévèle and the Carrefour de l’Arbre, the two sectors with the highest level of difficulty.
