Recently, social media platforms, especially X/Twitter and TikTok, have been buzzing with fans complaints as they reveal that they are being charged £6.70 for less than a pint of beer, that doesn’t even contain alcohol.
Amidst the fans complaints, let’s find out the charges of the food and snacks being offered at Paris Olympics 2024.

For the curious, the opening day of sports began with the Stade de France hosting the rugby sevens. This gave ticket holders their first chance to catch the action at the Paris 2024 Games.
However, those hoping to enjoy a pint of regular beer will be disappointed, as Paris 2024 is not selling alcoholic drinks at any of their venues.
Wondering why? Well, it is due to a 1991 French law that bans the sale of alcohol in stadiums unless it is served with a meal.
It means only those in VIP hospitality can enjoy alcoholic beverages while watching the Olympics live.

Meanwhile, in another update to the Olympics 2024, football enthusiasts were spotted booing the Argentine national anthem ahead of their respective matches.
This follows Argentina star Enzo Fernandez’s controversial “racist” video that was streamed on social media earlier, after their Copa America win, although as of now, it is unclear if that is the direct reason for the fans’ reactions.
