The table tennis tournaments at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are set to take place from July 27 to August 10 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. A total of 172 players, equally split between men and women, will compete in five medal events: two for each gender and one mixed doubles. Following the success of Tokyo 2020, the mixed doubles tournament will feature in the Olympic table tennis program for the second time.

On Sunday, Indian paddler Manika Batra began her medal quest with a decisive 4-1 victory (11-8, 12-10, 11-9, 9-11, 11-5) over Anna Hursey in the women’s singles event. In the round of 32, Manika is set to face the young French talent Prithika Pavade.
Meanwhile, Sreeja Akula will compete against Singaporean paddler Zeng, vying for a spot in the last 16. Earlier, Akula won 4-0 (11-4, 11-9, 11-7, 11-8) against Sweden’s Kallberg to qualify for the last 32.
