France celebrated a monumental men’s rugby sevens gold medal win at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, ending Fiji’s reign in front of nearly 70,000 excited fans at the Stade de France on July 27. The game was tied 7-7 at halftime, creating an intense atmosphere as both teams had a chance to win. French star Antoine Dupont scored two tries and set up a third in the final seven minutes, leading France to a decisive 28-7 victory over Fiji.

The bronze-medal match was just as thrilling, with the Australians losing their 7-5 halftime lead and ultimately falling to South Africa 26-19. This match marked the end of the men’s rugby sevens competition, while the women’s event began on July 28.
