As the new year approaches, the sporting world’s focus has turned to its most significant tournament. The schedule for the Paris 2024 Olympics hockey was revealed today with both, the men’s and women’s openers starting on the same day.

Twelve men’s and twelve women’s national teams, including the reigning gold medal winners from the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, will fight for the highly sought-after Olympic medals.
The men’s team advanced far into the tournament through qualifying, while the women’s squad was plagued by off-field problems and was unable to make it. Each features twelve teams, divided into two pools, Pool A and Pool B, each with six teams. A win earns three points, a draw earns one, and a loss earns none for each team in their pool. Each team will play each other once.
The top four teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals and compete in a knockout style once all of the teams have played one another.
India is drawn in Pool B with New Zealand, Argentina, Ireland, Belgium and Australia. Pool A has the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, France (Hosts) and South Africa.

The Paris 2024 hockey competitions for men and women will begin on July 27. The hockey competitions at the Paris Olympics 2024 will take place in the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium, a historic location in Colombes, near Paris, which hosted the Olympic Games in 1924.
In both competitions, pool stages run through August 3rd, with knockout rounds beginning on August 4th. The medal games for both men and women category are scheduled to be held on August 8 and August 9, respectively.
The opening match for Harmanpreet Singh and company is on July 27 against New Zealand, and the second is on July 29 against Argentina, the 2016 champions. August 4 is when the playoffs are slated to start, while August 8 is when the men’s medal matches are scheduled to take place. Check out the full schedule below:
