Artistic swimming will make its 11th Olympic appearance at Paris 2024, with two events: duet and team competitions. Each event will feature both free and technical routines, with the team competition also including an acrobatic routine, a new addition for the Olympics.

For the first time, men will be allowed to compete in the team event. The competitions will be held at the Olympics Aquatic Center from August 5 to 10, with the team medal event on August 7 and the duet medal event on August 10. China, a dominant force in artistic swimming, is a leading contender for gold in both events, having won silver in Tokyo 2020 and recent world titles in all three team disciplines at Doha 2024.

Japan, another strong competitor, won bronze in both duet and team events at Tokyo 2020 and recently secured silver in the team free routine and bronze in the team technical at the 2024 World Championships. The United States, Spain, and Ukraine, who all won medals in the team competition at Doha 2024, are also teams to watch. Notably, Mexico will return to the team competition for the first time in 26 years, having qualified at the 2023 Pan American Games.
