At the Paris 2024 Olympics, six Indian archers will compete across five categories: individual recurve (men’s and women’s), team (men’s and women’s), and mixed team. The archery events will kick off on July 25 at the Esplanade des Invalides with the ranking rounds and will wrap up with the finals on August 4.

In Paris, veteran archers Deepika Kumari and Tarundeep Rai will make their fourth Olympic appearances, while Pravin Jadhav returns for his second Summer Games after Tokyo 2020. Dhiraj Bommadevara, Bhajan Kaur, and Ankita Bhakat will debut in the Olympics. After training and acclimating in Compiègne, France, the Indian archers were among the first to enter the Paris Olympics Village.
The Indian men’s archery team has displayed exceptional form this year. In April, Rai, Jadhav, and Bommadevara clinched a historic World Cup gold in Shanghai, defeating the reigning Olympic champions from South Korea. Both the men’s and women’s teams qualified for Paris 2024 based on their current world rankings. According to World Archery rankings, the Indian men’s team stands in second place, just behind South Korea, while the women’s team holds the eighth spot.
