Why Does The Pantheon Animated Series Exist?
Created by Craig Silverstein and produced by Sesfonstein Productions, Titmouse, and AMC Studios, Pantheon is an American adult animated science fiction drama.
The books “The Gods Will Not Be Chained,” “The Gods Will Not Be Slain,” and “The Gods Have Not Died in Vain,” which make up Ken Liu’s “The Apocalypse Triptych” trilogy, are the ones that served as the inspiration for the television show.
The upcoming season of this show can be expected to release in the second half of 2023 but an official date hasn’t been told as of now.
Storyline
In Pantheon, Maddie, a bullied adolescent, is the main character. Maddie likes to read about new technologies, particularly one that her late father’s company, Logorhythms, has developed: a new kind of artificial intelligence. The company started coming up with unethical (and frequently illegal) strategies to advance her father’s project after his untimely death.
Caspian Keyes is a troubled teen who is fascinated by the UI program. Another troubled teen is named Maddie and both of them are soon introduced to one another by Maddie. Together, they work to solve the puzzle surrounding her father’s death and perhaps investigate the potentially revolutionary implications of artificial intelligence (AI) consciousness.
Regarding the role, Pantheon says, “Pantheon focuses on the “uploading” of human consciousness into the cloud, exploring the outer frontiers of what we and our technicians are capable of producing and destroying. It focuses on both the individuals whose brains have been digitally uploaded and the loved ones they have left behind, exploring the issue of technology through the prism of family. In the end, Pantheon questions our conception of what it means to be human.”
