2023 Pan American Games results today, key performers, and medal winners
Cristhian Pacheco from Peru successfully defended his title in the men’s marathon at the 2023 Pan American Games, which took place on the streets of Santiago on October 22nd. Pacheco, who is 30 years old, led the race and completed it in 2:11:14. The silver medal went to the hometown favorite, Hugo Catrileo, who finished in 2:12:07. Luis Ostos, also from Peru, secured the bronze medal with a time of 2:12:34.
In the women’s marathon, Citlali Cristian of Mexico emerged as the victor, finishing the race in 2:27:12. Her performance exceeded the previous Games record by more than three minutes.
