Palki Sharma Upadhyay studied at Loreto Convent, Tara Hall, Shimla, India, and did her further studies at ICG Institute for Educational Research & Development Alliance, Delhi. In 2004, Sharma joined the Hindustan Times as a staff writer and wrote stories on civic and social issues. She worked there for one year and handled tasks such as giving movie reviews, Critics, and copy-editing segments of the Jaipur edition.
In May 2005, she entered Indiaโs largest English-language news television channel- CNN-News18 as an Anchor and also the Senior Editor.
