The prize money for the much awaited eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

What will the PSL winning team receive?
The winner team will not only take home the Supernova Trophy, but also a check for Rs.120 million. The prize money for the runners-up is Rs. 48 million. On March 19, the PSL 8 final and closing ceremony will take place in Lahore, which will also host the playoffs.
Islamabad United will attempt to make record by winning the trophy three times, while Lahore Qalandars will attempt to become the very first team to win consecutive titles. It is evident how good the teams are and how intense the competition is because each of the six franchises has at least one PSL championship.
Previous winners
Islamabad United won the title in 2016 and 2018. Peshawar Zalmi won the competition in 2017. Quetta Gladiators, who had reached the finals in each of the first two competitions, took first place in 2019. The Karachi Kings became the first team to win and raise the trophy in their own city in 2020 when they handily defeated Lahore Qalandars in Karachi. In 2021, the Multan Sultans won their first title. The season before, Lahore Qalandars won the PSL title there.

Two legs will make up the PSL 8, with games taking place at Gaddafi Stadium and Pindi Cricket Stadium from February 26 to March 19 and then at Multan Cricket Stadium and National Bank Cricket Arena from February 13 to February 26.
The stadium of Pakistan will host the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the Final from March 15–19. There will be five games in Multan, nine games in each of Karachi and Lahore, and eleven games in Rawalpindi.
The afternoon matches will start at 2 p.m. local time, and the evening matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will start at 7 p.m. local time. Evening matches in Multan will begin at 6 p.m., with the exception of the tournament’s first match, which will begin at 8 p.m.
The Pakistan Women’s League will make its soft debut during the PSL 8 with three exhibition games on March 8, 10, and 11 in Rawalpindi, which will come before the men’s games. The two women’s teams are expected to be made up of elite athletes from across the country and the world; more details will be supplied when they become available.
