In the 2021 World Cup, Babar Azam and his team beat India by 10 wickets. They reached their goal of 152 runs in 17.5 overs. On Wednesday, some fans at the SCG wore jerseys that said “152-0” on the back. By complete chance, New Zealand scored 152/4 runs in the first innings as well. And Twitter users saw it right away.

Pakistan, on the other hand, got off to a great start. Babar Azam was dropped on the first ball, which gave him a chance to get back in the game. In the first two overs of the powerplay, Trent Boult and Tim Southee each gave up 15 runs, so New Zealand lost 30 runs. Pakistan ended the powerplay with 55 runs and no wickets lost, which was their best performance of the tournament.

Then, it took Babar Azam 38 balls to get to his first fifty of the tournament. Both Azam and Rizwan played freely and often hit the boundaries.

Mitchell Taking Down The First Wicket

Pakistan’s first wicket fell when Williamson sent back Trent Boult in the 13th over, when their score was 105. He bowled a slower full delivery across the wickets, and Azam went for the big shot. But it didn’t have enough speed to get over the boundary, and Mitchell caught it right away at long-on.

It was Azam and Rizwan’s third time putting together more than 100 runs in the T20 World Cup, which is the most of any pair. Soon after that, in the 14th over, Rizwan also got to 50 off 36 balls.

What About India Vs England Semifinals? How Did They Get Till Here?

On Thursday, India and England will play in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia (November 10). So far, each team has done different things in the mega event Down Under. India started the tournament with a close win over Pakistan, which is one of their biggest rivals. They then beat the Netherlands but lost close to South Africa. In their last two games, they won a close game against Bangladesh and then beat Zimbabwe badly.

Jos Buttler’s England team, on the other hand, beat Afghanistan before losing to Ireland. Their match against Australia was called off because of rain before a single ball was bowled, but they won convincingly against New Zealand and Sri Lanka to move on to the semifinals.
