Oxford United is a professional football team in the English county of Oxfordshire, know the club’s next new manager odds
The team’s head coach, Karl Robinson, has just quit the team.
Robinson had been in charge of the U’s since March 2018, but the team hasn’t been doing well as of late. In their last eight League One games, they’ve only earned one point.
Robinson has been fired because the U’s lost 3-0 to Bristol Rovers, which was their seventh loss in eight games. Due to this bad run, they dropped down the table and are now eight points behind the spots for the play-offs.

In a statement, Oxford United’s board thanked Robinson for his hard work and efforts during his five years at the club. However, they said that recent results and performances meant that a change was needed. The search for a new head coach is already under way and will be thorough and long.
The first team will be run by Craig Short, Leon Blackmore-Such, and Wayne Brown while the search for a new head coach is still going on. The next game, which is at Lincoln City on Saturday, will be their main focus right now.

Grant McCann, Michael Appleton, Liam Manning, Danny Cowley, Lee Bowyer, Leam Richardson, Neil Lennon, Graeme Murty, Stephen Robinson, and Chris Wilder are among the other names on the list.
Des Buckingham most probable as a manager
Recent news stories say that Des Buckingham, 38, who used to coach Oxford United, is one of the top candidates to replace Robinson as manager at the Kassam Stadium. Football Insider says that Buckingham was part of Chris Wilder’s coaching staff at Oxford. Because of his success coaching in the City Football Group, he is now one of the top candidates.
Buckingham was the head coach of the New Zealand national team. During the 2020 season, he worked as an assistant coach at Melbourne City, where he won an A-League grand final. He is currently the head coach of Mumbai City FC, where he just won the Indian Super League League Winners’ Shield in October 2021 and is now getting ready for the Indian Super League play-offs.
Even though there is a long list of possible candidates, there is no clear frontrunner for the job, and finding a new head coach is likely to take some time.
Oxford United is a football team that has been around for a long time and has a strong fan base. The U’s have been around since 1893, and most of their history has been spent in the lower leagues of English football. However, they have had short stints in the second tier, including the 1985-86 season, when they finished third in the old Division Two.
The club plays at the Kassam Stadium, which can hold up to 12,500 people. The stadium was built in 2001 and is named for Firoz Kassam, who used to be the chairman of the club.
