Blizzard’s latest edition of the game will feature a bunch of new heroes to anticipate such as fox girl Kiriko and buff Junker Queen. Players can unlock these characters for free through battle pass.
With the free-to-play PvP set to launch early next month, PC fans can pre-download the sequel a few days before its release date.
Overwatch 2 Preload Date And Time
The preload date and time for Overwatch 2 on PC is 13:30 PT, 16:30 ET, and 21:30 BST on September 30th. Players can only play Overwatch 2 on PC via battle.net.
As for PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, the ability to pre-download doesn’t start until 09:00 PT, 12:00 ET, and 17:00 BST on October 4th.
The file size for computers is 50 GB and 30 GB for console.
How To Pre-Download Overwatch 2
Players can only preload and pre-download Overwatch 2 on September 30th for PC if you are an existing owner of the first game, or if you own the Watchpoint Pack.
Players need to own the first game on PS4, PS5, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch to pre-download Overwatch 2 on console.
New PC and console users who currently don’t own OW1 or don’t pre-order the Watchpoint Pack, will have to wait until 12:00 PT, 15:00 ET, and 20:00 BST on October 4th to download the game.
For PC users, the preload will happen automatically in the background if you have automatic updates enabled on battle.net. However, if you don’t have automatic updates enabled, you will need to follow the steps given below:
- Click the gear icon on the right side of ‘play’
- Select ‘Check for Updates’
