While experienced Overwatch players might be familiar with the name from the game’s lore, players will get to use Ramattra as a playable hero for the first time.

Ramattra Confirmed Release Date

Ramattra will make his debut and be available for players as soon as Overwatch 2 launches. This means that, Ramattra will have the same release date as Overwatch 2, which is on Tuesday, December 6.

However, players will have to unlock the new tank hero through the Season 2 Battle Pass. Players can choose to grind through the tiers manually or simply purchase the premium bundle.

Ramattra Forms And Abilities

A full breakdown of Ramattra’s kit is currently unavailable, although players can have an overview of his abilities. Ramattra’s abilities are best explained through his two forms, which players can alternate between.

Ramattra has two distinct forms, the Omnic form and Nemesis form, which players can change in between using a “transform” ability similar to Bastion.

Omnic Form

The Omnic form is a more defensive option between the two forms. Using this form, players can opt for a more passive playstyle where they can help protect allies by erecting a wall-like structure. Ramattra does this while still doing some long-range damage by shooting projectiles with his staff.

Nemesis Form

On the other hand, the Nemesis form is a more powerful and aggressive form, where Ramattra’s entire character model changes. Under this form, Ramattra grows much larger, with a far more aggressive playstyle.

The Nemesis form allows Ramattra to charge directly into battle and punch through barriers while targeting weaker support heroes behind.

Ramattra Ultimate

Besides information on the two forms, other details are not much available. However, one noteworthy detail is that Ramattra has just one shared Ultimate between both the two forms. The Ult allows Ramattra users to automatically swap into Nemesis form possibly for a more aggressive attack. Developers haven’t revealed anything else other than that.
