How To Unlock Competitive Play In Overwatch 2?
Players need to win 50 Quick Play matches in order to unlock competitive play ranked mode in Overwatch 2.
However, new OW2 players need to complete the FUTE tutorial besides winning the above number of games.
A plus point for players who played the original game is that they will have immediate access to ranked gameplay provided they have already attained level 25.
Blizzard’s new Defense Matrix stated that newcomers need to unlock competitive play as this ‘gives new players time to prepare for the higher expectations’.
It does this while not discouraging long-term players by grouping them with inexperienced teammates.
