Oshi no Ko Chapter 162 titled ‘Aqua Hoshino,’ began with the final moments of Hikaru as he was featured struggling to stay afloat after being struck by rock. In another panel, we witness Gorou’s hands dragging him under the water, causing his demise.
Let us remind you, Hikaru had intended to kill Ruby to feel closer to Ai, however, instead of killing Ruby, he ultimately met his end. In another scene, we saw Aqua accepting that he would likely die too.
And during his final moments, he came to understand the meaning of his reincarnation was to protect Ruby, which eventually led him discovering his solace in the fact.

Oshi no Ko Chapter 163 is expected to reveal whether Aqua survived his fall into the water or not. Although given the circumstances, his death seems possible, leaving Ruby to achieve her dream.
However, we can expect a potential plot twist that could save Aqua and shift the focus of the story towards a more hopeful ending.
