What Exactly Happened in Chapter 130
Mem-Cho told her adoring public that she was going to be in a movie in Chapter 130 of Oshi no Ko, titled Basic Tactic. Many of her followers expressed their delight, but others speculated that she must have been terrified. Mem-Cho’s life has been full with obstacles from the start, from dropping out of high school to becoming an idol. She did not intend to halt her onward progress now any more than she had before.
Later in the chapter, Aqua told Mem-Cho that Abiko and Kichijoji helped him with the film’s script. With that, he made it clear that using any means necessary was his primary strategy in bringing down his father. Mem-Cho was necessary for this as well. The chapter concludes with Aqua watching the DVD Ai sent him in which she reveals the truth about his father.
Most likely, Ruby Hoshino will be the main character of Chapter 131. In an earlier chapter of the manga, she had her first acting role as Ai, her mother. Ruby may have been able to adopt her mother’s perspective after going through that. As a result, she may have come away from the experience with a muddled understanding of her mother’s character.
If not, the following chapter might have Aqua Hoshino as the main character. He saw Ai’s DVD in the previous chapter. He did that, no doubt so that he could be just like his dad.
