The movie adaptation of the ’15-Year Lie’ manga has officially commenced production. As a result, audiences watched Ruby, Kana, Akane, and Mem perform for the first time as the founding members of B-Komachi. But right off the bat, Ruby ran into trouble. The spoilers were posted @xDonutW on Twitter.

Spoilers for Chapter 129 of Oshi no Ko began with the production of “15-Year Lie.” When Kana, playing with Nino, left her water bottle open, Akane, as Takamine, reprimanded her. After that, Takamine began to verbally abuse Nino, calling her names and telling her she was ugly and uneducated because she had a cowlick that stuck out of her hair.
Mem-Cho, disguised as Mei Mei, then appeared and begged Takamine to stop picking on Nino. In response, Takamine insisted that she was only being firm and not bullying. She said she was trying to protect Nino because she loved her. Miyako finished the scene by asking Ruby to keep a close check on everything since she wanted to perform as well as Akane and Kana.
Ruby
Mem-Cho, meanwhile, had Akane and Kana rate her performance. They were both pleased with Mem-Cho’s performance. Kana, however, thought that Mem-Cho’s success was due to the fact that Mei Mei’s personality was quite similar to her own. Kana concluded from this that Akane actually possessed a vicious disposition, which accounted for her convincing portrayal of Takamine. Akane denied being mean, but she relished the opportunity to pick on Kana.
Spoilers for Chapter 129 of Oshi no Ko reveal that Ruby Hoshino made her acting debut in the guise of Ai Hoshino. Ruby had a simple phrase to say, “Hello everyone,” but Director Gotanda wasn’t happy with her performance and made her do it over and over again (13 times total).
No Break Next Week for Oshi no Ko
Ruby contacted a coworker to inquire with the Director about where she went wrong. Gotanda shot back that Ruby was exaggerating Ai’s level of stupidity. As a result, he advised Ruby to ease up a bit. Because in Ruby’s mind her mother was not an idiot but rather a person who bottled up her feelings, the director’s comments hurt her feelings.
Ruby’s anger was building, and she gave the shot a second time while trying to suppress her feelings. She managed to capture Ai in her genuine form, and the resulting photo was stunning. The Director apparently wanted Ruby to be emotionally distant, like Ai, and Kana confirmed this by saying as much. Ruby’s frustration at having to retake her shot led her to suppress her feelings during the last one.
