Bruce Arnold was born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts. He established the rock band Orpheus in 1967. Arnold’s band group dropped four albums and six singles via MGM and Bell Records. Their smashing hit single named Can’t Find the Time peaked at No. 80 in the list of Billboard Hot 100 in year 1969.
His band released their first album in 1968. Their song Can’t Find the Time was in 2000 comedy film Me, Myself and Irene starring Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger.
Back in the day the band Orpheus performed with several great acts such as Who, Cream, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, the Lovin’ Spoonful, Blood, and Sweat and Tears. During an interview with Marin Independent Journal in 2012 Bruce has stated, “We were just right in the midst of that and But Orpheus didn’t sound like the music being made by the hip groups as we were off on our own tangent.”
Bruce also served as the pastor of a Church in Point Reyes Station from 1975 to 1987. Chuck Norris who is an actor as well as martial artists issued a statement to Marin Independent Journal after Arnold’s passing.
Norris stated “We will cherish our memories and know his loving family will carry on his music and message.”
