The protagonist Luffy is taking on Yonko Kaido while Law and Kid are taking on Big Mom. Chapter 1038 finally gave a sneak peak to true potential of Law and Kid. Since the very start of the battle, these two supernovas have defied all odds and survived against Big Mom but chapter 1038 hinted to underlying powers of Law and Kid which can alter the tip of balance in the fight.
Ahead of official English release of chapter 1038, raw leaks of the manga are out, and fans have provided full summary as of what to expect from this chapter. As per fan summary, Law ruined Big Mom’s plans by electrocuting her body using a combo attack of KROOM and Shock Willie. Kid also didn’t fall behind and followed up Law with his own combination move.
The chapter ended with a fatal attack on Big Mom. Kid used his Jiki Jiki no Mi to collect nearby metal chunks and constructed a massive bull. He then crashed the bull against Big Mom and ran it over her. This is a big comeback by the supernovas, since Big Mom was dominating both of them since the start.
