Football enthusiasts and fans in India who were eagerly looking forward to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s inaugural visit to the country will need to exercise patience as the highly anticipated tour of the former Manchester United star, initially planned from December 15 to 17, has been postponed.

The tour, organized and hosted by Tilak Gaurang Shah, an ardent Manchester United fan and the founder of Ace of Pubs, was originally slated to encompass three major cities in India – Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.
Tickets are now LIVE on Zomato for the 11th Feb, 2024 event to be held at ITC Maurya, New Delhi.

Solskjaer Expressed Disappointment
Expressing his disappointment, Solskjaer remarked, “I was very excited to visit India since the day I heard about the craze of football and Manchester United’s fan base from Tilak.
“Sadly, the tour has to be postponed this time due to some unavoidable circumstances. However, I will be coming to India in February to meet the fans and witness the fandom personally.”
Reschedule Date
The rescheduled tour Is now set for February 2024, providing an exciting opportunity for Indian football enthusiasts to personally meet the legendary player.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be in India for three days with stops in Bengaluru (Feb 9), Mumbai (Feb 10) and Delhi (Feb 11).

Tilak shared his sentiments on the postponement, saying, “It’s unfortunate that Ole’s India tour has to be postponed. It’s an inevitable situation, and I hope the fans will understand.
“I have discussed the revised plan with him, and we are very excited to host the Manchester United legend for his first-ever India tour.” Solskjaer commands a substantial fan base in India, with his legacy at Manchester United including scoring 126 goals in 366 appearances for the club.
His unforgettable last-minute winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich remains etched in the memories of football fans globally.
Who is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?
For those unfamiliar, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, born on February 26, 1973, is a Norwegian professional football manager and former player, most recently serving as the manager of Premier League club Manchester United.
As a player, Solskjær spent the majority of his career with Manchester United and also represented the Norway national team 67 times.
During his playing days at Manchester United, Solskjær resided in Bramhall with his wife, Silje, and their three children, Noah, Karna, and Elijah.
Two of his children are actively involved in football, with Noah playing as a midfielder and Karna as a forward for AaFK Fortuna, emerging from the Manchester United academy.
Karna made history by becoming the first father-daughter pair to play for Manchester United when she debuted in the 2021–22 Women’s FA Cup against Bridgwater United.
