According to current weather reports, there is a rain threat throughout all five days of the fourth Test in Manchester. Moreover, the temperatures at the venue will range around 19-20 degrees which is cooler than the other three venues. There are also chances of clouds and sunshine during the first three days. The final two days have more rain threat with over 60 percent chance of rain on day four and over 85 percent on day five.

Based on current reports, the pitch at Old Trafford looks like a flat surface, which will favour the batters. Batters particularly in the middle order should enjoy an advantage. Anderson, who plays for Lancashire in domestic cricket could give a standout performance as this is his home ground.
