Earlier, reports emerged indicating that Sambalpuri singer Ruksana Bano passed away at the age of 27 while undergoing treatment at the AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The tragic news was confirmed by hospital sources.

As per media reports, the singer was admitted at the AIIMS Bhubaneswar as she was reportedly being treated for Scrub Typhus. Though at the time of writing this article, there isnโt any information about the exact cause of Ruksana Banoโs demise.
However, the family of the Odia singer, who passed away on Wednesday night, September 18, have alleged about foul play.
What Did Ruksana Banoโs Family Say?
Banoโs mother and sister have alleged foul play, claiming that a rival singer from Western Odisha poisoned her. Though Ruksanaโs family didnโt name any individual they doubt.
In addition, they also expressed that the singer had been receiving threats in the past. In their conversation to the media, the mother and sister of the singer revealed that โabout 15 days ago, Ruksana fell ill during a shoot in Bolangir after consuming some juice.โ
Furthermore, they revealed that after falling ill, the singer was immediately admitted to the hospital on August 27. However, after her initial treatment, โshe was referred to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir,โ before moving to a private hospital after condition started worsening.
However, โwhen her health failed to improve, she was transferred to AIIMS Bhubaneswar,โ her sister Ruby Bano revealed to the media.
In a video clip, Ruksana Banoโs mother echoed the accusations of foul play, which has now gone viral across social media platforms including X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit.
