Prediction

On January 8, the top-seeded Serbian player Novak Djokovic will face Sebastian Korda of the United States in the 2023 Adelaide International final.

With a ninth career victory over third seed Daniil Medvedev, top seed Novak Djokovic increased his lead over the Russian and advanced to his 131st ATP final.

The World No. 5 completely controlled the match on Saturday, converting two of the three break points he owned and saving all three that he faced winning 6-3, 6-4.

In Australia, Djokovic has won 33 straight games and will be motivated to continue that streak on Sunday. The Serb is attempting to win his 92nd career title in Adelaide after winning five titles out of seven finals last year.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Sebastian Korda last year advanced to back-to-back finals in Gijon and Antwerp before capping the campaign with a loss in the opening round of the Paris Masters.

The first competition of 2023 has seen the World No. 33 advance to a final. Yoshihito Nishioka, Korda’s semifinal opponent, retired in the second set, advancing Korda to the championship match. Korda will be participating in a final for the fifth time on this tour. Only one of the previous four finals has been won by the 22-year-old, who took home the trophy in Emilia-Romagna in 2021.

Both the players are yet to drop a set this year so far. In this match, Djokovic will enter the match as a favourite. Additionally, he is currently in superb shape and has a remarkable 33-match winning streak in Australia. He should easily win the championship.
