2023 Nordic Darts Masters round-of-16 results, score, quarter-final schedule, venue, draw, format, & playing line-up
As the defending champion Van den Bergh missed two darts at double 15, Latvia’s number one Razma took the lead in the opening exchanges. The Belgian, though, responded elegantly with a stunning 130 finish on double five to tie the score at two apiece. As he finished off a convincing 6-2 victory, the 28-year-old kept going and wouldn’t let Razma attempt another double. In a thrilling 6-5 victory over Dennis Nilsson, world number two Peter Wright survived the biggest scare of the opening night.
Despite not performing at his peak, World Champion Michael Smith easily defeated Lithuania’s Darius Labanauskas on this particular night. Gerwyn Price, the runner-up in the Bahrain Darts Masters, too had a clean victory, disposing out local qualifier Benjamin Reus 6-0 with ease. Even though Michael van Gerwen easily defeated Andreas Harrysson 6-3 in the evening’s finale, it was a tale of missed doubles for the returning player.
On Friday, Bahrain Darts Masters will culminate with the quarterfinal, semi-final, & final matches all taking place and feature all of the top-ranked players including the reigning world champion Michael Smith. For this event, tickets can be purchased by fans from here.
