Saif Ali Khan, portraying the character of Lankesh, initially faced backlash for his modernistic hairstyle. After the film’s release, a scene featuring Khan’s character enwrapped by pythons triggered a meme frenzy on social media. The response ranged from trolling over the film’s questionable VFX to hilariously creative memes.

Disha Nayonika, who is also known for her work on “Lust Stories 2,” got in trouble when she reportedly posted a picture of Saif’s character surrounded by pythons with the words “No wonder, Sita… no wonder” as the caption. After the reaction, Nayonika made her Instagram account private and took “Lust Stories 2” out of her bio. However, screenshots of her controversial comment are still being shared on social media, causing anger and criticism.
Adipurush is mired with success and controversy
Even with all of these problems, “Adipurush” has managed to wake up its fans. The release of “Adipurush” was marked by big parties, like drumming, fireworks, and elaborate decorations with cutouts of Prabhas as Lord Ram. The theatres were full from the first showing onward.
But the film’s image is still hurt by the controversies. In addition to the controversy over what Disha Nayonika said, the movie has also been criticised for what some people say is a false portrayal of the Ramayana.
