Romelu Lukaku who scored his debut goal for Chelsea against Arsenal was more than unwilling to even consider joining Arsenal
Back at Chelsea after spells at Inter Milan and Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku ended up getting handed his debut when the club went visiting Arsenal. Stepping into the club’s playing 11 as he replaced Timo Werner, the 90 million pound plus man strived to show why Chelsea had decided to bring him back for a second term.
And the striker was in electric touch on the night as he clobbered Arsenal. A massively improved Lukaku was spotted in Chelsea colors as he ran the show for the club on the night, laying down a real marker with his all-round display.
He went onto open the scoring for Chelsea on the day as he bullied Pablo Mari before racing into the box and getting on the end of a Reece James square pass. Slotting in comfortably, Lukaku netted his debut goal for Chelsea, a strike which was built upon by Reece James who scored soon after to see Chelsea seal a 2-0 win on the day.

The reply has seen Lukaku massively endear himself to Chelsea supporters in little time. While the striker is yet to take on a side of any calibre, his display against a waning Arsenal did allude towards what’s to come from him this term.
