In the ATP Finals group stage, eight players or teams are divided into two groups of four based on their rankings in the Pepperstone ATP and ATP Doubles Team Rankings, which are determined on the Monday following the last ATP Tour tournament of the year.ย All singles matches, including the final, follow a best-of-three sets format with tie-breaks in each set, including the third set. Doubles matches consist of two sets and a Match Tie-break.

Within each group, every participant competes against the other three, and the top two from each group progress to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, the winner of one group competes against the second-placed finisher in the other group. From this stage onward, the semi-final and final matches adopt a traditional knockout format.

Past champions Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev will also be in contention.
