It is now confirmed that Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule will be moving to Bundesliga rivals club Borussia Dortmund and will become the German club’s player next season. The announcement of the trade was done by the club’s official handle.

Borussia Dortmund, from their official Twitter account, announced that the defender has signed the agreement for them for the season 2022/23 on a free transfer. While the player is still a part of Bayern Munich, he will be joining the rivals club after his contract expires in 2022.
“Borussia Dortmund has signed Niklas Sule for 2022/23 season,” wrote the official Twitter account of the club.
“We are pleased that we were able to sign a German national player in Niklas Sule and retain him for four years,” said the Sporting Director of Dortmund, Michael Zorc.
Premier League clubs were reportedly interested to get the player but Sule opted out to join the German Bundesliga club as he expressed more interest to deal with Dortmund in “personal chats” as stated by Sebastian Kehl.
The German nationalist earned 8 million euros per year in Bayern Munich. He will be at Borussia Dortmund for the next four years were he will earn 10 million euros while he was said to be holding out for 17 million euros at Bayern Munich after they offered him 10 million euros annually as well.
