Fans will go to any length to troll sportsmen, or in this case, a head coach, however one LSU fan genuinely wanted Nick Saban to leave
According to reports, a teenage LSU fan slipped into SEC meetings and offered Nick Saban a bribe to quit coaching.
According to Outkick’s Trey Wallace, the high school kid got past security and approached Saban when the seven-time national champion was enjoying lunch. He used the chance to offer Saban $5,000 to resign as head coach of the LSU Tigers because he’s tired of seeing him lose.

For the twelve years of suffering, he’s caused me.” He has caused me so much grief from January 9th until 2022,” the child told Wallace. “I go to the LSU-Alabama games, and I’m sitting there in the fourth quarter, thinking this is the year, and then I see Saban just run away with it.
Over the years, Nick Saban has inflicted anguish on every SEC fan who does not support the Crimson Tide. One young guy was fed up with Saban and Alabama’s dominance in the SEC, so he arrived at the SEC Spring Meetings this week with a strategy.
The SEC Spring Meetings are not like the SEC Media Days, where anybody may attend. Coaches, athletic directors, and SEC officials are there to talk amongst themselves, not to answer absurd questions from various members of the media.
“However, I am a rabid LSU supporter. On Fridays, I tell myself that this is the year we’re going to defeat him. This is the year we’re going to beat ’em. They take the lead, and then everything goes to hell. I honestly can’t believe I just saw another Saban thrashing.”
The chat with Wallace was verified by Saban.
“I admire him, I admire what he does. He admires his method. I admire everything about him. I simply cannot bear losing to him.”
Saban declined the $5,000 offer, saying subsequently that he was a nice child.
