NFL Draft: What Is The NFL Draft? BFL is a sports event that takes place annually and is said to be inaugurated in the year 1947 that aims at the selection of amateur footballers.

During every off-season, a supplemental and standard process is carried out by the football commission. A total of 7 rounds take place which includes various processes. The players that get selected in an draft get a chance to play for the NFL season of that particular season.

The doors of national football open for all the college football players during the draft each year, the most deserving ones are shortlisted and this event acts as a life changer for the selected ones annually.

NFL Draft Format

The format in the past few years has evolved a lot. Presently the first pick is offered to the team that has the worst record during a regular season then the 20th pick is done by the best performing team. 21-24 picks are done by the team that got eliminated in the first round, 25-28 picks are done by the teams that got eliminated in the second round which is also known as the divisional round.

NFL Draft Rules

1. If 2 teams remain in the same division at the end of the game then tiebreakers are used to decide the winner.
2. Win-loss record is monitored for each season and it affects the gameplay of the teams in the next season.
3. If any of the participating teams are seen in the same conference then the playoff tiebreakers are used.
4. Inter-conference ties are broken by a series of tiebreakers beginning from head-to-head.

NFL Draft 2021

The 2021 edition of the Draft took place in Cleveland, Ohio in the month of April at the FirstEnergy Stadium. During the 2021 draft, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings made most of the selections whereas Trevor Lawrence became the first selection.

Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguar, and Baltimore Ravens were the ones who made a great selection, the Cleveland was so much fortunate during this draft that they got no player below the draft grade 50 for the upcoming season.
