Despite the excitement for a new season, speculation over which head coach will be fired first has already begun before a single ball has been kicked. A manager’s future may need to be decided after the opening fixtures, which may create frustration over the summer’s transfers and season expectations.

As the Premier League season gets underway, several managers are under acute pressure to start off strong in order to keep their jobs. David Moyes was considered the manager most likely to quit at the beginning of the season, but the seasoned Scotsman has earned an incredible ten points from his first four games.

One of the favourites to fire their managers is a team without a victory in the first few weeks, with Sean Dyche of Everton presently expected to be the first to depart.

First manager sacked in each Premier League season

Ian Porterfield of Chelsea was the first manager fired in the history of the Premier League. Porterfield lasted 29 matches before being fired in the middle of February of 1993.

Kenny Dalglish, who was fired from Newcastle United after just two matches of the 1998–1999 season, was the Premier League manager fired the fastest ever. After just four games, Scott Parker, Peter Reid, Bobby Robson, Frank de Boer, Javi Gracia, and Bobby Robson were all fired.

Given that they were the first team to fire their manager in four seasons, Tottenham is the team that appears on this list the most. Sunderland, Chelsea, and Newcastle all make three appearances.

Betting on first manager sacked or next manager

It’s critical to pay special attention to the bet’s title when betting on the first manager fired in a Premier League season. There may be some confusion over what constitutes being “sacked” when managers leave on their own initiative or with “mutual consent.”

For instance, bookmakers believe it is possible that Pep Guardiola might leave the club during the club’s financial inquiry even if it is extremely improbable that he will be fired by Man City anytime soon.
