TAB New Zealand Darts Masters 2022 Tournament Format
The best of the 11 legs will be used in every match during the first round. Starting with the second round, all matches will be played in a best-of-15 format. The best of 15 legs format will also be used for the Final.
2022 TAB New Zealand Darts Masters Schedule, Venue, Draw, and Playing Line-up
The Professional Darts Corporation will hold the second iteration of the TAB New Zealand Darts Masters in 2022. It will also be the sixth event in the World Series of Darts that year. At the Globox Arena in Hamilton, New Zealand on August 26–27 2022, the competition will feature 16 players—eight PDC pros and eight regional qualifiers. Following his 8-1 victory over Raymond van Barneveld in the 2019 final, Michael van Gerwen is the current champion.
A £20,000 prize money will be awarded to the World Series competition winner. Meanwhile, the second place finisher will get a cash prize of £10,000. Nevertheless, everyone who enters the competition will get at least £1250. Tickets can be purchased by the fans from here.
2022 TAB New Zealand Darts Masters Playing Line-up
Eight PDC professionals will face eight local players in the opening round. PDC will be represented by members Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, Fallon Sherrock, James Wade, Michael Smith, Jonny Clayton, Joe Cullen, and Dimitri Van den Bergh.
Fallon Sherrock, who was denied the opportunity to compete in the 2020 World Series of Darts circuit because to the COVID-19 epidemic, was one of the six players who were named by the PDC as their representatives in the event on April 11, 2022. Jonny Clayton and Joe Cullen will round out the PDC representatives, it was confirmed on May 30, 2022.
The three PDC Tour Card holders from the Oceanic region—Damon Heta, Simon Whitlock, and Gordon Mathers—along with the top two finishers on the DPNZ Order of Merit, two New Zealand competitors who won the DPNZ qualifiers, and one Australian participant from the DPA qualifier—made up the field for the Oceanic qualifiers.

The PDC’s international television partners as well as Fox Sports in Australia will broadcast the matches live. The £10 PDCTV Summer Pass option includes all three August World Series of Darts events.
