March Madness is the NCAA’s (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division I men’s basketball tournament.
It features a single-elimination tournament to determine the country’s men’s college basketball national champion.
March Madness 2025 overview
This year, the highly anticipated NCAA Tournament will feature the back-to-back national champion UConn facing strong competition from other teams like Auburn, Alabama, and St. John’s. Aside from these teams, there are also traditional powerhouses like Florida and Duke in contention. Tickets for the games can be bought from here.
March Madness 2025 bracket
The official bracket for the tournament is set to take place on Sunday, March 16, during the Selection Sunday show. The tournament will feature 68 teams, out of which 32 conference champions will receive automatic bids. The remaining 36 at-large bids will be allocated to other teams based on performance. March Madness 2025 format and venues
The tournament will follow the traditional structure, starting off with the First Four, First Round, Second Round, and Sweet 16. It will then proceed to the Elite Eight, Final Four, and finally the National Championship game.
The tournament opener will take place in Dayton, Ohio, on March 18, between the four lowest-seeded at-large teams and the four lowest-seeded automatic bids. The competition will then head on to the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, starting from the Final Four on Saturday, April 5, up to the National Championship game on Monday, April 7.
