Brian Windhorst has opened up on how LeBron James would react after being compared to Steph Curry

Steph Curry got out to a fast start, scoring 21 points in the first quarter, but he faded after that. Curry’s career has recently received attention due to the possibility of his tying LeBron James for the most NBA titles won. But one NBA Insider threw a surprise on those comparing Curry to LeBron.
Patrick Beverley was on ESPN’s Get Up! talking about how the Warriors could have easily won from 2015 to 2019. Then the question of Steph Curry is in the same conversation was not even raised.
Long-time insider Brian Windhorst burst out laughing as he offered his two cents on the subject.
“If Steph Curry wins the Finals and the MVP, you’re talking about a man with four rings, two MVPs, and a Finals MVP, the uber elite in the game’s history, [Michael] Jordan, LeBron, [Bill] Russell— Steph would be one of five men who have ever done something like that.
“But LeBron James would chuckle at the idea of them being compared in this way.”
Curry’s fourth championship would tie him with James in that category. But he still has a long way to go to match James’ four NBA Finals MVPs and four regular-season MVPs.
James also outperforms him in almost every statistical area. The four-time MVP has a career average of 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. James elevates his game in the playoffs, averaging 28.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.7 steals, and.9 blocks per game.
In the playoffs, James has beaten Curry in every major statistical category.
Not to add, LeBron’s Cavaliers defeated the 73-9 Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals in a very competitive seven-game series in which the Cavs rallied from a 3-1 series disadvantage.
