Aside from winning the exciting trophy, the players from the winning team will receive a prize money from the Player Playoff Pool. The rest of the teams in the playoffs also get to win a certain amount based on how far they make it into the competition.

The prize money for the NBA winners in not fixed, with the money usually coming from the Player Playoff Pool. The Player Playoff Pool is a funds pool usually made up of playoff ticket sales. Every team in the competition that enters the playoffs receives some portion of the total pot depending on how far they advance in the postseason.

Several teams stand to receive a cash prize from the total prize money based on how well they perform or how far they make it into competition. The team who has the best overall record in the NBA will win a certain sum of money while the teams with the best records in each conference will also receive a smaller sum (East and West).
