Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams recently signed a new $78.5 million contract with the franchise check out the list of the highest-paid head coaches in the NBA.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski the 51-year-old signed a six-year, $78.5 million contract, which is the largest coaching deal in league history.

Meanwhile, The Athletic’s Shams Charania states that Monty’s new contract includes options for Years 7 and 8. Moreover, the total value of Monty’s new contract could well reach nearly $100 million if we add the incentives.

Prior to signing his new contract with the Pistons, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich had the highest average annual salary in the NBA. Popovich currently earns $13 million per season.
