NBA All-Star Game halftime show 2023 performers lineup, national anthem, schedule, date and time

The 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend is all set to feature an Afrobeats-themed halftime show with performers like Burna Boy, Jewel, Post Malone, Rema, Tems and Vin Diesel as headlining entertainers

Besides the star-studded list of entertainers, the event will also feature an in-arena NBA All-Star Draft for the first time.

The NBA All-Star Weekend is set to take place from February 17-19, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

2023 NBA All-Star Game halftime show

Ahead of the NBA All-Star Weekend, the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced the list of entertainers who will headline the halftime show.

The list includes three Nigerian superstars

  • GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer Burna Boy
  • 2023 GRAMMY Award-winning singer and Oscar-nominated singer and producer Tems
  • Rapper and singer Rema

The three star will headline the halftime show with an Afrobeats-themed performance. Following which, the NBA family will then honor LeBron James for becoming the league’s all-time scoring leader.

The much-awaited 72nd NBA All-Star Game is set to tip off at around 8:30 p.m. E. It will take place at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City and air live on TNT.

Ahead of the tip-off, actor Vin Diesel, star of the upcoming “Fast X” movie, will welcome fans to the event. The first-ever in-arena NBA All-Star Draft will then take place starting around 7:30 p.m. ET. Global superstar Post Malone will then followed up by performing a medley of hits.

National Anthems

Utah singing group ‘The Bonner Family’, is set to perform the U.S. national anthem before the 2023 Jordan Rising Stars. The game will take place on Friday, February 17 at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.

The group will then perform the national anthem of the U.S. and the Black national anthem, “Lift Every Voice,” at the NBA HBCU Classic presented by AT&T. The NBA HBCU Classic is scheduled to tip off on Saturday, February 18 at 4 p.m. ET. Fans can watch it live on TNT, ESPN2 and NBA TV.

Meanwhile for the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, singer Jewel will sing the U.S. national anthem while Jully Black will sing the Canadian national anthem. Jewel is a native of Payson, Utah, and a GRAMMY Award-nominated artist. Jully Black on the other hand is a JUNO Award-winning and platinum-selling artist.
