The award was recently redesigned with the new name as a tribute to legendary late Kobe Bryant who spend his 20-year basketball career at Los Angeles Lakers.

NBA All-Star Game 2022 Prize Money
The winning team of each of the first three quarters received $100,000 (a total of $300,000) for its organisation while the overall winning team collects $150,000. Runners up will collect $25,000.

Kobe & Gigi Bryant WNBA Award Winners List
Phoenix Suns’ Chris Paul received the Kobe & Gigi Bryant WNBA award for advocacy of girls’ and women’s basketball as the first player to receive it. The award is given for significant contributions to the development of girls and women’s basketball, along with advocacy for the WNBA.
Late Kobe Bryant supported the WNBA and Women’s Basketball for a long while his daughter Gigi played youth basketball.
On the other hand, Paul nicknamed ‘CP3′ has been a supporter and attended the WNBA games throughout the regular season and playoffs, and also favours the youth girls’ game through camps and the CP3 Basketball Academy.
