Did NBA accidentally leak the name of Joel Embiid to be the official MVP? Have a look
Fans already assume that Joel Embiid is the deserved MVP of this NBA season but nothing can be said until it’s officially announced by the league itself. Meanwhile, a lot of rumours indicate that the Philadelphia 76ers star was announced the MVP before his Game 3 match against Miami Heat. It is also said that there is proof in form of a screenshot in which the NBA allegedly leaked the information that Embiid is the Most Valuable Player.
NBA Accidentally Reveals Joel Embiid Is The 2021-22 Season MVP
Joel Embiid is one of the leading MVP candidates of this season along with Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Embiid suffered an injury and was sidelined but surprisingly, he appeared at Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals despite the injuries and sporting a black mask.
The 76ers star was rumoured to be given the MVP and the NBA accidentally leaked it, let us have a look at the fact.
Were The Rumours About Joel Embiid Being Given The MVP Award Before Game 3 True?
The rumours about NBA accidentally leaking the fact that Joel Embiid will be officially becoming the NBA season 2021-22 MVP is false! No, NBA did not announce or accidentally state anything related to the official winner of the award.
There were a lot of reliable accounts to be involved in posting about the MVP thing for Embiid.
Hearing justice will be served tonight … @JoelEmbiid will be awarded the MVP trophy, then jump center @sixers in Game 3 #playthesong #Sixers

Can’t wait to see if @JoelEmbiid can play through this tonight. Mad respect for giving it a go. And most likely collecting the MVP tonight

This caused a lot of uncertainty among supporters because no one anticipated it to be announced so quickly.
However, as others have confirmed, they were only rumours. During Game 3, Joel Embiid was not named the MVP.
On Twitter, Sixers reporter Derek Bodner verified as much: ‘Not to be *that guy*, but the award will be revealed on TNT, and tonight’s game will be on ESPN,’ he added. ‘It’s not happening tonight, even though most voters have publicly indicated who they’re voting for, and it’s not looking good for Embiid.’
Earlier in the day, the account that predicted Embiid will win the MVP award corrected its prediction:
Correction about justice for @JoelEmbiid MVP … announcement will NOT be tonight. My apologies!

In January, the NBA app accidentally leaked that LaMelo Ball was an All-Star, and it ended up being true. However, the article has now been changed to MVP finalist so it remains to be seen if the news is true or it was just an inadverent mistake.
