How NBA All-Star Voting Works?
The fan vote holds a 50 percent weight of the total vote in determining the NBA All-Star Game starters. The remaining 50 percent is split into two equal portions between current players and members of the media. Each conference’s ballot includes two guards and three frontcourt players. NBA head coaches select reserves, while league commissioner Adam Silver selects injured replacements as needed.
Meanwhile, captains are selected according to which player earned the most fan votes in each conference. In 2022 NBA All-Stars voting, LeBron James and Kevin Durant received most fan votes in the western and eastern conference respectively.
