On June 22, 2023, Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, presented nursing professionals with the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Awards for their outstanding services to society during a prestigious ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

At the ceremony, several dignitaries like Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prof. S P Baghel and Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya were also present.
These distinguished awards were established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, in 1973 as an homage to the amazing work and unshakable commitment of nurses all around the nation.
The National Florence Nightingale Awards are highly respected throughout the nursing community because they honor nurses’ crucial contributions to the healthcare system and their unwavering dedication to patient care. The awards encourage nurses to continue their quest for excellence in the sector by recognizing their altruistic service.
