Know the results of the National Esports Championships 2022 in India, the winners and who made it to the Asian Games

Shikhar Choudhary, Karthik Varma, and Team Temple of Kings of Hearthstone put up incredible performances to qualify for the 2022 Asian Games in the Esports Federation of India’s (ESFI) National Esports Championships 2022 (NESC ’22).

While Shikhar defeated Karthik Varma Vegesna 3-1 and 3-2 in the best-of-three Hearthstone finals. Temple of Kings, comprised of captain Akshaj Shenoy, Samarth Arvind Trivedi, Mihir Ranjan, Aditya Selvaraj, Aakash Shandilya, and Sanindhya Malik, easily defeated Team Coco Cats 3-0 in the best-of-five grand finals.

“This moment gives me a sense of achievement and dignity since my hard work and dedication have finally paid off. NESC’22 was a Hearthstone pinnacle tournament since it included all of India’s giants,” Shikhar Chaudhary remarked after gaining his debut spot for the Asian Games 2022. “NESC’22 was a grueling slog and winning it was a great victory for me.”

Shikhar displayed excellent abilities and games throughout the competition. Including producing the tournament’s biggest upset by upsetting India’s sole Asian Games medalist Tirth Mehta in the semi-finals on way to his triumph. Tirth had earned a bronze medal in the Esports demonstration event at the 2018 Asian Games

“The Asian Games 2022 will be a great test of my abilities because all of my rivals are experts in their craf,” Shikhar stated. “Tirth gave us the first medal in this title in the 2018 Asiad; I am going to devote every ounce of energy this time into obtaining the gold medal for my country and continue the medal streak.”
