Who Was Mufti Sardar Ali Haqqani?

He gained headlines in 2012 after a video of him threatening Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai over her recent statements on marriage went viral on social media. In February, he was injured in an assassination attempt in the Swabi area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He is known for his aggressive and controversial statements. He delivered a speech last year criticising women’s education and employment in numerous fields, including physicians, nurses, and others.

His Death Cause
On Sunday, he was killed in a car accident at Adamkhel Pass. The crash wounded six other persons, including Mufti Ali Haqqani’s driver and guard. The injured included a Pakistan Army officer and his two kids, who were transferred to CMH, while others were sent to a neighbouring hospital.
Mufti Ali Haqqani’s body was transported in an ambulance to his ancestral village in Nowshera.
