Amidst a host of candidates who are upset over the stalled process of recruitment of 14850 teachers, a strange application surfaced in a bizarre turn of events. The applicants were to be interviewed this Friday in the selection process for contractual teachers in the district of Raigarh when this happened. Read on to know more.
Teacher Applicant MS Dhoni Gives Father’s Name As Sachin Tendulkar In Fake Application
A person named Mahendra Singh Dhoni applied for the position of teacher in the Chhattisgarh capital of Raipur. This person had mentioned his father’s name as Sachin Tendulkar. And coincidentally, the officials also shortlisted him for the interview. But when this applicant did not turn up for the interview, the bizarre nature of their application was brought into focus and has now surfaced.
Fifteen applicants had an interview this Friday, one of which was this so-called Mahendra Singh Dhoni. When he did not turn up, officials called the number listed on the application and realized their mistake when the number was unreachable. The application was clearly fake and just a lame attempt at humor.
Officials launched an FIR against the fake applicant In Chhattisgarh
According to the application, MS Dhoni held an engineering degree from CSVTU University, Durg with 98 per cent marks. As soon as it came forward, it went viral as the other candidates promptly started posting it on social media. The authorities are now preparing to lodge an FIR against the person behind this fake application. But nevertheless, they are still not sure how it managed to make its way into the interview.
“Based on the cut-off marks, his name was on the top of the list of applicants. He didn’t come to face the interview. We had a feeling the concern person may not be genuine. So we informed the school education department and lodged a police complaint for investigation”, said the district education officer in Raigarh, R.P. Aditya.
It will be interesting to see how this episode plays out if a probe begins into the fake applicant.
